MCGM starts Covid Vaccination Center at World Trade Center Mumbai

Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai (MCGM) has opened one of the largest CVC (Covid Vaccination Center) in the `A Ward’ at the World Trade Center (WTC) Mumbai with 20 booths and the capacity to inoculate minimum 100 persons and with the potential to shortly raise up to 500 persons daily.

This civic initiative led by Mrs Chanda Jadhav, Assistant Commissioner from Ward A of MCGM and her team of very efficient engineers and Doctors and supported by WTC Mumbai by providing the space and other facilities, is aimed to provide free vaccinations to the economically backward sections of the society from A Ward, in the South Lounge of Center 1 Building in WTC.

Mr. Vijay Kalantri, Chairman, World Trade Center Mumbai said, “At the time, when there is a struggle in managing the high number of COVID positives and increasing the vaccination drive, WTC Mumbai is pleased to offer its facilities for this important national cause and partner with the MCGM. We congratulate MCGM for its effective model in controlling the spread of Covid-19 in the city. This is a very unique model and the entire country should follow the MCGM model. They have done it very systematically which speaks volumes.”

The CVC is well equipped with doctors and trained medical staff with 10 vaccination cubicles and a spacious waiting area with proper social distancing and sanitising facilities. The movement of people coming to CVC are managed in an efficient manner with mandatory social distancing so that the occupants and professionals in the complex are not disturbed. The initial vaccination drive is targeted to providing the second dose to those who have already taken the first dose earlier.
